Tara Oakes completed her high school education locally at Wesleyan, establishing   strong roots in her community before pursuing higher education. She attended the University of Tennessee, where she earned her bachelor's degree in early education and developed the academic foundation that would shape her future career.

 Her passion for working with young learners led her to a fulfilling path in   elementary education. For 20 years, she served as an educator at Abbotts Hill Elementary,   specializing in the crucial early elementary years of first and second grade.Throughout her   extensive teaching career, she helped countless young students build essential foundational skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and social development. Her long-term commitment to the same school demonstrates her deep dedication to her students and the broader school community. Her experience spans the full spectrum of early childhood education, giving her unique insight into the developmental needs of all learners. This combination of local education, strong academic preparation, and extensive classroom experience has made her a seasoned and respected educator in her field.
